(You don't need the picture, I put it for fun)
This was her home, the Woodland realm. What a beautiful sight indeed. The trees were always green,a deep green, one that never dies. Now Arien, she is different. Her appearance is deceiving. She is a beautiful girl.Mostly mistaken for being an elf,but she is human, mortal, she can die. Her eyes are hazel green, brilliant hues of green outlined in gold. Her skin is flawless not a scar, bruise,or scratch upon her.Her lips are smooth a light pink that blends perfectly with her completion. Her hair was a true brunette,an almost unfound brown with what seems to be strands of gold in it.As for her attire, she wears elvish tunic, light green embroidered in gold fit for royalty, even the fabric is rare.Wearing somewhat loose pants and boots that go to her ankles they are light and have but a single buckle across the top.To accent her curvy waist she has a belt, one adorned with the finest elvish weapons forged with some shards of mithral,a dagger, sword,a bow and a quiver of arrows adorn her back, she was quick, light and left not a track on the solid earth beneath her feet. Her tracking skills are keen and her eyes and senses trained well so that she may feel any dark presence around her.
She was a serious person, had hardly any friends. Arien was a ranger of the eastern forest, and proud of it she shows it well, her left arm has the tattoo of an elven warrior the tattoo stating her name in elvish, the language in which she could read, write, and speak very well.At this time she had a cloak that shielded her completely from the night sky of thundering rain.It was a cold night and she merely wished to find shelter from the rain. The rain droplets beading on her cloak and then running off it, because of it she was warm and dry under it.Her eyes being ever watchful to her surroundings for it was harder to hear things with the drip drop of every rain drop on the ground. If anyone was to see her they would consider themselves lucky for most that know her, laid dead before her, those she met were usually assassins, marauders, and of that sort, and they were intruding and doing evil in her forest and she would not tolerate that. She did have a soft side, but you would really have to get to know her in order to see it,she has no love, often at times she is alone and feels such but there is not much she can do.So she does not let her feelings interfere.Walking in the rain she would notice a light.Dim yes,and a faint yellow color. She was a curious girl, now many times that curiosity has nearly claimed her life, but she was a true hearted person.
Rarely did she speak for there was no one to speak to,as her footsteps started to make footprints in the mud she knew it was time to find shelter for she hated to be tracked.Taking a deep breath and wrapping her cloak around her slender form she pulled her hood a little bit more over her emerald green hazel eyes, the only thing visible at this instance would be the slight pink of her now somewhat chapped lips from the wind of the frigged night,as she got closer she could hear grand laughter and people and the light became brighter, from the looks of it,a tavern even, she tilted her head slightly watching a few men go in and out standing at the dark edge of the forest line as if deciding whether she should enter or not,but she hated the wetness of the rain so slowly made her way to the oaken door of this lodge, she could hear, even smell the drunkenness of those inside.
Her smooth hand reached out and grabbed the gold handle and slowly she opened the door, she hated getting attention for she was a reserved person. But before she even touched the door she was sure to check and make sure that her weapons were concealed well, she did not wish to raise the alarm. As she opened the door she was shot by a great loudness of the talking and singing of the people inside but it quieted a bit as people watched her enter the room, some had heard of her others had not,but they were still curious to as why such a person would be so dressed and so calm and graceful and yet look so fierce all in one move, for she had only taken one step inside the tavern and all this was already happening, she could see perfectly well through the somewhat sheer material of her elven cloak it was soaked but under it she was dry and warm, she would not remover her hood for anything in the world, unless she was asked nicely and she had seen that the other was respectful and courteous towards her.
Her graceful body moved like no other, her light boots made not a sound or left a spot of dirt on the hardwood floors as she quietly made her way to a table in the corner of the room where she knew that she would not be disturbed and she did not disturb others. She did not order anything for she did not even make her way to the bar,she was not much of a drinker unless it was the finest elven wine, which not many mere mortals could drink, but she had been raised with the elves and so respected them and considered them even her own kin. She would cross her strong slender legs and lean back on the intricately decorated wooden chair and her eyes scanned the room,'what a pathetic sight' she thought to herself, she did not speak a word, but she felt stares from here and there yet they did not bother her,in a way she didn't care and was used to it. She bit her lower lip slightly, somewhat bored even.
She had seen many things in her life, but she hated the stupidness of those that consumed so much alcohol that they could not remember their own name, drinks to her were for a special occasion and nothing more, through the front of her hood she saw men and yes they were looking.Only some of herself was visible. Her lips, her pants, her crossed legs and the tip of her sword touched the floor lightly, her cloak covered all the rest of her for two reasons, one reason was so that these men did not underestimate her and two simply because she was cold, tired even for she has not slept in almost a week. She took in a small breath and let it out with a small sigh, and watched as people entered and exited, she had amused herself by counting people, and one seemed to se staring at her yet she did not look to him for she thought it to be rude to stare back, she was brought up well, her manners were impeccable, even in the worst of times. She wondered now how long she would stay there, and whether or not she would stay the night here or not, until finally she looked over and she caught a glimpse of the other that was watching her so intently and watched his features for a while until she saw that he was no threat to her.She wondered wether anything interesting would happen, but she was not looking forward to it.
